40 Systems Energized.
The City has energized to date 40 systems across its portfolio, across various departments. Over the last 2 years alone, under the Mayor Dicken’s Administration, the City has energized 23 facilities and 63% of all on-site solar has been built. Currently, we have 2.8 MW’s of capacity.

Solar Atlanta Program
In 2017, the City of Atlanta, awarded a contract for the installation of solar panels and is currently the largest solar municipal program in Georgia. These renewable power systems support the City’s 100% Clean Energy goal by 2035 for All Atlantan’s and a 59% reduction in GHG Emissions by 2030.
Cross-Departmental Effort
Renewable energy across our municipal portfolio is a cross-functional collaboration between local government departments to help scale sustainable energy. These departments include Watershed Management, Parks and Recreation, Fire and Rescue, Department of Aviation, and the Department of Enterprise and Asset Management. It is essential for the City to offset its highest energy use facilities to reach our clean energy goals.
